By proactive maintenance we mean maintenance that is carried out preventively. This concerns the maintenance work that is carried out on the basis of the knowledge of the devices and according to a fixed maintenance schedule in order to hopefully prevent malfunctions, damage and breakdown at a later date.
Preventive maintenance is performed on a regular basis according to a certain schedule and is often part of a multi-year maintenance plan (MOP). For many maintenance activities, a cyclical maintenance requirement is maintained and this may be adjusted if deviations from the expected maintenance requirement are found during inspection.
Even though the cost of proactive maintenance is significantly lower than reactive maintenance, it is still costly to perform maintenance on a regular basis and on schedule. Perhaps the maintenance is just a precautionary measure and not necessary at all to perform actual maintenance.
Does your company carry out preventive maintenance according to fixed schedules? Very good, but we would still like to take you into the future and introduce you to a much cheaper way of maintenance.

What do our partners say about predictive maintenance
By applying sensoring and monitoring to our installations, we are able to identify deviations at an early stage and take action. This creates more peace of mind within our organization and we can deliver more quality. In addition, the CMData product is brand independent, which makes it widely applicable on our installations.
With CM-Connect we are able to (efficiently) check the condition of a drive and thus keep unplanned downtime to a minimum. In addition, we also prevent ’too early’ maintenance because revisions can be carried out at a later time. This gives peace of mind to the planning and Technical Service of our customers.
